This course prepares personnel to perform the role of a HEC (Hazardous Energy Control) Isolation Officer in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards, critical risk management requirements, and Life Saving Rules. Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to plan, implement, verify, and manage isolation of hazardous energy sources to ensure safe execution of maintenance and operational activities.
The training emphasizes strict adherence to Rio Tinto’s Isolation Standard, and critical control verification processes, ensuring zero harm through effective hazard identification, risk mitigation, and procedural compliance.
